Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Senior Risk Control professional to provide account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management. You will evaluate how companies identify and manage inherent risk factors and differentiate accounts in complex lines of business.

Role involves working with the largest, most complex accounts, reporting to the Risk Control Field Director, with travel to customer sites as needed. This role does not manage others.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and state-specific certifications where applicable.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in EH&S, engineering, construction management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a field presence with 20–50% onsite travel.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control, and Brokers to service customers as a unified team.
• Complete risk assessments for complex accounts (manufacturing, large warehouse operations, multi-location).
• Write technically detailed risk assessment reports with recommendations.
• Identify customer needs and provide Risk Control products and services to mitigate losses.
