Job summary

Travelers Insurance in New York City seeks a Senior Risk Control Consultant to evaluate hazards, controls and management for large, complex accounts. You will partner with Underwriting and Claims to grow a profitable book of business while delivering technical risk assessments and reports.

The ideal candidate has seven years of safety/risk control experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and relevant certifications (ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in EH&S, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS are preferred or required.
• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong field presence visiting clients (20–50% on site).
• Analyze hazards, controls and risk factors and provide risk control recommendations.
• Prepare detailed risk assessment reports communicating findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims and Risk Control to grow a profitable book of business.
• Stay current with regulations and emerging issues affecting risk control.
