Job summary

You will supervise 20–30 DOT and CEI Engineering Technicians and manage contract administration for major projects, including plans, measurements, and safety standards.

The position requires strong communication skills, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and readiness to coordinate with contractors and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Four years of progressive engineering experience, including two years supervisory.
• Experience in contract administration and highway project oversight.
• Ability to communicate with the public and other agencies.
• PE license preferred or registration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Resident Engineer in Division 5 Construction Office.
• Oversee contract administration for major construction projects.
• Supervise 20–30 DOT and CEI Engineering Technicians.
• Prepare monthly and final estimates, and other contract records.
• Coordinate daily with contractors and staff.
