The role leads contract administration for major projects and supervises 20–30 DOT and CEI Engineering Technicians, ensuring compliance with plans and standards.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and four years of progressively responsible experience, including two years in supervision.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and four years of progressively responsible engineering experience including two years of supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract administration for major construction projects and supervise 20–30 DOT and CEI Engineering Technicians
• Prepare monthly and final estimates and maintain contract records
• Read plans, perform highway engineering calculations, and stake lines and grades with survey instruments
• Communicate with contractors, public groups, municipalities and other department units; manage field and office work 50/50
• Be available to manage staff seven days a week, 24 hours when needed
