Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas is seeking an engineer to perform analysis, diagnostics, and field service coordination for medium-voltage transformers. You will act as the technical bridge among engineering, OEMs, field services, sales, and customers, handling end-to-end issues to improve transformer reliability and lifecycle performance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in transformer testing/maintenance, strong field experience, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
• 3 years' experience in testing, commissioning, service, or engineering of power transformers.
• Knowledge of transformer testing equipment such as TTR, winding resistance, insulation resistance, PF/DF.
• Demonstrated understanding of MV Transformers and associated substation engineering standards (IEEE/IEC).
• Hands-on field testing, inspection, commissioning, or service of MV transformers.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on inservice MV transformers using electrical, mechanical, and fluid diagnostics.
• Coordinate, confirm, and schedule testing and inspection activities for warranty or ad-hoc repairs.
• Guide on-site inspection, testing, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and condition assessment.
• Manage customer support cases and coordinate technical resolution across engineering, field services, and suppliers.
• Prepare and confirm accuracy of MV test reports, inspection records, and service documentation.
