Job summary

Mytra is hiring a Senior Sustainment Engineer to lead field-service escalation and root-cause analysis across multiple live sites. You will develop playbooks, guidebooks, and standardized procedures, while coordinating with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve uptime and reliability.

You will work on-site with customer operations during hypercare and high-priority escalations, mentor junior staff, and help translate field feedback into actionable engineering changes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in field service, reliability engineering, customer support engineering, or sustainment roles.
• Hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting experience.
• RCAs and CAPAs ownership from issue to resolution.
• Familiarity with reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, uptime).
• Experience with CMMS/PLM systems (Netsuite preferred).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Own technical escalation for complex field issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Translate field findings into engineering feedback and design-for-reliability recommendations.
• Track sustainment readiness metrics (MTBF, MTTR, uptime) across sites.
• Handoff deployment to hypercare and ensure complete installation records.
• Build playbooks, guides, and troubleshooting manuals for field teams.
• Direct spare parts planning and supervise external contractors when needed.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and documentation.
• Escalate issues with context and drive to resolution with cross-functional teams.
