Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Technical Quality Engineering Specialist (Chassis and Safety Restraints) to ensure the premium quality of our electric vehicles from early design through final production.

You will embed quality discipline, apply APQP/PPAP, lead 8D and 5-Why analyses, and partner across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve issues before customer impact. In this onsite Arizona role, you will drive DFM, optimize tolerance stacks, and mentor teams on GD&T, MSA, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 8+ years automotive quality or engineering experience.
• Experience supporting chassis and safety restraint systems (suspension, steering, brakes, wheels/tires, subframes, airbags, belts).
• Strong GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis.
• Hands-on with core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC.
• Prototype, DV, PV build support experience.
• Proven root cause and issue-closure capability.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of chassis and safety restraint systems from design through production.
• Apply core quality methods and lead or support DFMEA/PFMEA reviews.
• Lead cross-functional investigations to drive containment and corrective actions.
• Interpret GD&T drawings and perform tolerance analysis.
• Provide on-site quality support across all build phases and validate design intent.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers on process capability and PPAPs.
