Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager to join our Field Operations Team on field/project based assignments across the United States. The role leads the on-site management, coordinates subs, ensures safety, quality, and schedule adherence, and reports to the Project Manager.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of construction experience, strong leadership, and the ability to travel to project sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of construction experience.
• Experience leading on-site field activities across large projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and contracts.
• Proven leadership and collaboration across design, project, and schedule teams.

Responsibilities

• Own field activities from start to finish including safety, quality, schedule, logistics.
• Maintain and track project schedule; create 2–3 week lookahead.
• Provide real-time data to PM/Scheduler for updates.
• Ensure site safety standards; address violations with crews.
• Train team on Gray software (CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, GoGray).
• Lead site and weekly coordination meetings with subs.
• Prepare monthly reports on safety, schedule, budget, and relations.
• Support buyout of subcontracts; manage procurement schedule.
• Lead, mentor, and develop site team; enforce Gray policies.
• Set up and close out construction site; daily walk-throughs.
