Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the Field Operations team. The role focuses on leading on-site activities from startup to completion, controlling safety, quality, and schedule, and coordinating with subcontractors to meet project milestones.

The candidate will supervise the on-site team, manage subcontractor relationships, and mentor junior staff while utilizing Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time and GoGray to ensure project success

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years related construction experience.
• Experience with overall responsibility for field activities on the project site.
• Projects in Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Distribution and Mission Critical sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and contracts.
• Strong people management skills; capable of leading on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Owns all field activities from startup to completion, including safety, quality, schedule, planning and logistics.
• Maintains and tracks the project schedule; creates two-three week lookahead and uses schedule as a management tool.
• Provides real-time schedule data to PM/Scheduler for updates.
• Ensures site safety standards are met and counsels subcontractors on violations.
• Trains project team on Gray software (CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, GoGray).
• Leads weekly/site meetings to coordinate subcontractor activities and align with the project schedule.
• Prepares monthly progress reports on safety, schedule, quality, budget, and customer relations.
• Collaborates with PM team to secure subcontracts and procurement aligned with schedule.
• Mentors and develops subordinates; upholds Gray policies and professional conduct.
