Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our Field Operations Team on field- and project-based work. You will function as the on-site lead during off-rotation periods and support scope development, scheduling, and cost estimates.

You will coordinate multiple divisions, procure subcontracts, and monitor safety and quality, while ensuring customer satisfaction and timely project completion. Travel nationwide is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with construction experience.
• Industrial sector experience preferred; food & beverage a plus.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Site Manager for off-rotation periods on projects.
• Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval.
• Support schedule development and cost estimates for self-performed work.
• May act as Site Manager on small projects (under $5M).
• Procure subcontractors, negotiate prices, draft subcontracts and PO's.
• Coordinate field activities and ensure safety and quality on site.
