Job summary

Energy Support Services, a New Energy Equity company, seeks a Special Projects Electrical O&M Technician (Level 2) to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on electrical infrastructure, renewable assets, and energy storage systems. Works independently, mentors junior technicians, and advances toward Technician Level 3 through a defined development pathway.

This role requires up to 75% travel, OSHA 10, read schematics, and ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience with commercial, industrial, or utility electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC systems with appropriate test equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead field inspections and maintenance for electrical infrastructure and renewable energy assets.
• Assist in planning and executing special projects per schedules and quality requirements.
• Perform preventive and diagnostic maintenance using infrared thermography and insulation testing.
• On-site supervision of subcontracted labor and junior technicians to ensure safety and quality.
• Document time, materials, and travel and maintain CMMS records.
