Job summary

New Energy Equity's Energy Support Services unit seeks a Special Projects Electrical O&M Technician (Level 2) to perform advanced inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics on electrical infrastructure, renewable energy assets, and energy storage systems. Travel up to 75% with short-notice schedules, and support subcontracted labor on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience with commercial/industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC/DC systems with proper test equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture on all special project work.
• Plan and execute special projects per procedures and schedules.
• Inspect, test, maintain, repair, and commission electrical assets.
• Diagnose issues using electrical test equipment and platforms.
• Lead on-site when trained and coach junior technicians.
