Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Special Projects Electrical O&M Technician (Level 3) to act as a senior field resource for complex inspections, troubleshooting, commissioning support, and diagnostics across electrical infrastructure, renewables, and energy storage systems.

You will own project sites, lead field activities, oversee subcontracted labor, and mentor technicians, with a clear development pathway to Technician Level 4.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four+ years of experience with commercial/industrial electrical systems required.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification and NFPA 70E, or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% on short notice and work outside traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex inspections of electrical infrastructure and renewable assets.
• Perform advanced preventive and predictive maintenance and testing.
• Provide commissioning support and diagnostics for energy storage systems and renewables.
• Mentor junior technicians and oversee subcontracted labor on projects.
• Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards are met on site.
