Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Special Projects Electrical O&M Technician (Level 2) to perform inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics on electrical infrastructure, renewable assets, and energy storage systems. The role supports on-site teams, with supervision of subcontracted labor and junior technicians while advancing to Technician Level 3.

Expect up to 75% travel, on-call flexibility, and company-provided training through a defined development pathway.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years experience with electrical systems.
• Able to read/interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• OSHA 10‑Hour cert or ability to obtain it.
• Valid driver’s license; clean record.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture on special projects and ensure proper PPE use.
• Plan and execute special projects with quality and schedules.
• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical infrastructure and energy assets.
• Provide guidance to subcontracted labor and junior technicians.
• Document activities and support client proposals.
