Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems in New Berlin, WI is seeking a field telecom technician with 5-7 years of experience to install, monitor and test transport equipment. The role includes substantial driving and on-site work in the field.

You will work with equipment such as FlashWave, Nortel Classic and Digital Cross Connect, coordinate with carriers, and support outages and break-fix activities. Onsite 2 days a week, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of related field experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently and drive.
• Ability to install, monitor and test telecom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor and test telecom equipment per specs and procedures.
• Perform testing and diagnostics on equipment per standards.
• Map and test transmission equipment such as FlashWave and related routers.
• Map routers and related network equipment for outages and changes.
• Coordinate test and turn-up with providers until services are working.
• Support field outages and break-fix activities on site.
