Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Lead Mechanic - Equipment to service and repair heavy machinery at field sites and in the shop. You’ll work with the Equipment Manager to plan procedures and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment, including dump trucks and paving machines.

The role offers a $37.00–$42.00 hourly wage (experience-based) with a $10/hour night shift differential, OT after 8 hours, and a comprehensive benefits package including health care, disability coverage,

Qualifications

• Travel in the field and jobsites and work in the shop (CDL a plus).
• Plan work procedures (Scheduling) and PM service with Equipment Manager.
• Troubleshoot and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers.

Responsibilities

• Travel in the field and jobsites and work in the shop as needed (CDL a plus).
• Plans work procedures (Scheduling) and/or possible solutions such as parts, PM service in conjunction with Equipment Manager.
• Trouble shoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers.
• Examine equipment and discuss with superintendent, operator, or project manager the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
• Ensure engagement of equipment team in all safety best practices, ensure compliance with all company policies and safety rules. Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
• Work closely with all equipment manufacturers to keep up with new technology.
