Job summary

Pike Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lead Mechanic - Equipment for Benton, ME. The role involves hands-on maintenance of heavy equipment, field travel to sites, and collaboration with the Equipment Manager to plan procedures and PM services.

The position offers a base pay of $37.00–$42.00 per hour, with a $10/hour night shift differential, potential annual raises, and benefits including healthcare, retirement, and more. CDL is a plus for the role.

Responsibilities

• Travel in the field and jobsites and work in the shop as needed (CDL a plus)
• Plans work procedures (Scheduling) and/or possible solutions such as parts, PM service in conjunction with Equipment Manager
• Trouble shoot and maintain all types of heavy equipment including dump trucks, pavers, reclaim and milling machines, loaders, graders, dozers, pavers and rollers.
• Examine equipment and discuss with superintendent, operator, or project manager the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
• Ensure engagement of equipment team in all safety best practices, ensure compliance with all company policies and safety rules. Conduct safety training and toolbox talks
• Work closely with all equipment manufactures to keep up with new technology
