Job summary

Mead & Hunt seeks an experienced Construction Inspector for WVDOH projects in North Central West Virginia. The role involves inspecting transportation construction work, verifying compliance with plans and specifications, and performing measurements, calculations, and material testing.

The candidate should hold relevant certifications and meet degree/experience requirements, with travel across the state and potential extended hours. Working outdoors and independent work are expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold applicable construction inspection certifications.
• Experience inspecting transportation construction projects is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work outside in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects and ensure work/materials meet plans and specs.
• Perform calculations, take measurements, and verify weights/volumes.
• Plot/cross sections and prepare as-built records during project progress.
• Conduct materials testing as required and document inspections daily.
