The role focuses on inspection of work and materials to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, with duties including measurements, cross-section plotting, and daily documentation. Ideal candidates hold WVDOH construction inspection and materials testing certifications, plus knowledge of WVDOH standards and testing procedures;

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in construction management or related field with substantial experience; alternate paths include 8+ years without a degree.
• Ideal candidates hold WVDOH inspections and materials testing certifications and knowledge of WVDOH standards and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with AASHTOWare Project is a plus, along with ability to travel across WV.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform measurements, plot cross sections, and prepare as-built documents during progress.
• Conduct materials testing and document inspected work daily; travel to sites across the state is required.
