Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a senior field mechanic in Midland, TX. The role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of compressor packages, gas processes, and related equipment, with emphasis on instrumentation and electrical systems.

Expect to backfill other field positions as needed and work overtime/on-call as required. Applicants should bring strong experience with electrical controls, motor starters, and implementing preventative maintenance, as well as a solid background in HSE

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and electric starters and electrical systems.
• 5+ years in a similar field/industry preferred.
• Successful completion of Kodiak's SSE program, plus 3+ years in a similar role.
• CAT, Waukesha, and Ariel certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and perform field activities aligned with Kodiak procedures.
• Serve as technical resource for complex issues in the region.
• Troubleshoot electrical motor controls and complex electrical systems.
• Perform maintenance and overhauls on compressor packages and gas processes.
• Maintain safe operations and participate in HSE activities.
