Job summary

Consor is seeking a senior construction inspector to monitor on-site activities, inspect landscape and materials, and ensure conformance with plans, specs, and contract documents. You will measure pay items, report production rates, and schedule phases with the contractor’s superintendent and agency personnel.

You’ll mentor junior staff, support documentation for final estimates, and occasionally work night hours. Strong field and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Experience and capability in bridge and/or roadway CEI work or Civil/Construction Engineering background.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, document, and verify work to ensure compliance with schedule and plans.
• Perform complex mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintain daily inspector reports of activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.
• Coordinate field efforts with administrative staff for reporting and monitoring.
• Lead field staff meetings and provide project updates.
• Delegate inspector responsibilities and allocate resources for current and future work.
• Assist in training junior staff.
