Job summary

Consor is seeking a senior construction inspector to monitor on-site activities, inspect landscape elements, and verify work aligns with plans and contract documents for excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures. You’ll take field measurements, report production rates, and schedule work with the superintendent and agency personnel.

You will mentor junior inspectors and support documentation for the final estimate package, with occasional night shifts as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to earn additional required certifications within one year.
• On-site field experience in bridge/roadway CEI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, document, and verify work on site for compliance with schedule and contract documents.
• Perform complex measurements and calculations of completed work.
• Maintain daily inspector reports of activity, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.
• Coordinate field activities with administrative staff and project stakeholders.
• Lead field staff meetings and allocate resources as needed.
• Assist in training junior staff.

Civil/Construction Engineering degree + 1 year CEI
