Job summary

Consor seeks a Senior Construction Inspector to monitor contractor activities on-site, inspect materials, and verify compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents for excavations, drainage facilities, road surfaces, and structures. You will measure pay items, report daily production, and coordinate with the superintendent and agency personnel.

You will mentor junior inspectors and support documentation for the final estimate package, with occasional night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires reading and interpreting construction plans and specs.
• Experience inspecting bridge and/or roadway construction.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document on-site work to ensure compliance with schedule, contract documents, and plans.
• Perform complex measurements and calculations for completed work.
• Maintain daily inspector reports identifying contractor activities and materials.
• Conduct on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches.
• Coordinate between field staff and administration; lead field staff meetings.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in training.
