RETTEW in southeastern Pennsylvania seeks an experienced Construction Inspector / Resident Project Representative III to provide construction observation and field representation for municipal infrastructure projects. This field-based role requires interpreting plans and specifications and communicating effectively with contractors, engineers, municipal representatives, and clients.

Qualifications

• Significant construction experience with underground utilities or municipal infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret plans, details, specifications, and project requirements independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with contractors, clients, and municipalities.
• Experience maintaining daily logs, photographs, quantity documentation, and field reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction observation and field representation for municipal infrastructure projects.
• Monitor workmanship, materials, and procedures for conformance to plans and specs.
• Maintain daily logs and prepare observation reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, municipal representatives, and project stakeholders.
• Support project managers with progress measurements and payment estimates.
• Serve as technical resource to less-experienced inspectors when needed.
