Job summary

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector / Resident Project Representative III to provide construction observation and field representation for municipal infrastructure projects in southeastern Pennsylvania. This is a field-based role with daily site driving and coordination with contractors, engineers, and municipal clients.

Ideal candidates will interpret plans and specifications, maintain daily field logs, and ensure work conforms to approved plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant experience required.
• Experience in construction observation and field oversight.
• Ability to interpret plans, specs, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction observation and field representation for municipal infrastructure and utilities.
• Observe work to ensure conformity with approved plans and specs.
• Monitor installation of water, wastewater, stormwater, roadway, and other municipal improvements.
• Interpret construction plans and project requirements in the field.
• Prepare field documentation, photos, and quantity records.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of construction activities and field conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors, municipal representatives, engineers, and clients.
• Provide timely updates to Project Managers on progress and risk.
