Job summary

SGS is seeking a Senior Field Evaluation Engineer to independently lead complex field evaluation projects, assess electrical equipment for compliance with applicable codes, and provide technical guidance to customers and regulators. The role emphasizes strong field and client engagement skills.

The position requires frequent travel to customer sites and the ability to evaluate a wide range of industrial, commercial, and emerging technologies, with remote work flexibility and a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3–8 years of experience in field evaluations, product safety, electrical inspections, or related areas.
• Expert knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards, building and electrical codes, and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex field evaluation projects from start to final reporting.
• Perform on-site evaluations of electrical equipment and machinery for compliance.
• Develop evaluation plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex projects.
