Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is hiring a Project Field Engineer to lead construction field engineering and support staff. The role reports to the Construction Site Manager and ensures field activities comply with design, codes, and Bechtel standards.

Responsibilities include developing field procedures, coordinating 4-week and long-range plans, managing work packages, inspections, and turnover, and overseeing the field change/non-conformance process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with 15+ years of relevant experience, or 19+ years total experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be physically able to perform field inspections at construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manages field engineering processes to ensure project and regulatory compliance.
• Develops field engineering structure and conducts personnel evaluations.
• Oversees construction work packages, inspections, and turnover processes.
• Coordinates with supervision for 4-week to 90/180/270 day planning.
• Manages change control, CAPs, and documentation control.
