Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Field Engineering Subject Matter Expert focused on Low Voltage and Infrastructure Cabling to define how complex physical infrastructure work is scoped, delivered, tested, and accepted across our North America Field Engineering organization.

This senior technical individual contributor combines hands-on field experience with the ability to create standards, work packages, training, and scalable delivery methods, supporting Sales, Solutions, and Project teams throughout

Qualifications

Ten+ years in low voltage/structured cabling and field delivery.
Experience reviewing site surveys and assessing buildability under real-world constraints.
Strong knowledge of copper and fiber test methods, equipment, and certification processes.

Responsibilities

Act as the practice technical authority for Low Voltage delivery across Field Engineering.
Review scope, field conditions, assumptions, and risks for complex pursuits.
Develop and maintain repeatable technical standards, work packages, and acceptance criteria.
Define site survey and buildability requirements for pathways, racks, and conduits.
Support Project Engineers during deployments, escalations, and quality issues.
