Job summary

DPR Construction in Dallas seeks a field engineer to support the coordination and execution of moderately complex field engineering activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.

You will collaborate with project managers, field staff, self-perform teams, superintendents and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain momentum while identifying risks during site inspections and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 4 - 6 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred; OSHA 30-Hour within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• ASHE, CHC, or relevant market certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports moderately complex technical review and implementation of engineering plans, ensuring alignment with project specifications and quality expectations.
• Coordinates with project managers, field staff, self-perform team, superintendents and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical issues and maintain project momentum.
• Conducts detailed site inspections and assessments independently, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Supports the preparation and validation of technical documentation, including daily progress reports, and as-built records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Drives process improvements by analyzing general field operations and recommending innovative methods or technologies to enhance efficiency and quality, including prefabrication opportunities.
• Communicates technical updates and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
• Supports less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex field engineering challenges and provides technical expertise on engineering standards and leading practices.
