Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to participate in the coordination and execution of field engineering activities, ensuring technical solutions meet project goals and quality standards.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to help resolve technical challenges, improve construction processes, and contribute to operational excellence by sharing knowledge and collaborating with peers and project teams.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• ASHE, CHC, or relevant market certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with technical review and implementation of engineering plans independently, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality expectations.
• Works with project managers, field staff, superintendents, self-perform teams and subcontractors to help address general technical issues and keep the project moving forward.
• Supports site inspections and assessments, identifying potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
• Assists with gathering and organizing technical documents to help keep information accurate and up-to-date.
• Recommends process improvements by analyzing field operations and suggesting methods or technologies to improve efficiency and quality, including prefabrication opportunities.
• Shares technical updates with project leaders and team members to keep everyone informed.
