Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Engineer to support project teams on heavy civil construction work.

The role focuses on coordinating shop drawings, submittals, scheduling, and field operations to keep projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of field experience, strong proficiency in AutoCAD and project software, and the ability to communicate effectively with foremen, subs, and clients.

Qualificações

• Proficient in AutoCAD and HCSS/Heavy Job.
• Able to prepare reports in Excel and Word.
• Strong relationship-building, organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to review plan specs and drawings.
• Able to meet deadlines in a field environment.
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a field environment.
• Proficient in written and verbal business communications.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain the material tracking system.
• Complies with safety procedures/policies and addresses non-compliance.
• Participates in daily Safety Meetings.
• Supports Quality personnel and the project through the Quality Management System.
• Properly tracks quantities daily and reconciles them each month for payment purposes.
• Manages/reviews foremen's reports daily for income, cost, or inventory entry.
• Documents all Time and Material operations daily.
• Takes two site walks a day to communicate with Foremen and Superintendents.
• Participates in daily huddles to ensure expeditious, profitable construction.
• Establishes relationships with clients and their representatives and/or field inspectors.
• Assists the buyout process, writes requisitions, negotiates best deal for cost/quality/delivery.
• Produces complete purchase orders after approvals by Project Manager.
• Knows subcontract details and attends subcontractor coordination meetings.
