Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team in Leonard, TX. You will work with the Project Team and Field Management to build safe, high-quality projects while managing budgets and profitability.

Responsibilities include shop drawings, scheduling, submittals, meetings, AS-builts, and field operations, with a focus on integrity and client relations. 5–10 years of field experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and HCSS/Heavy Job are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and HCSS/Heavy Job
• Able to prepare reports in Excel and Word
• Must establish effective working relationships with employees, subs and ICs, with initiative, organization, and planning skills
• Ability to review and understand plan specs and drawings
• Able to meet deadlines
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a field environment
• Proficient in written and verbal business communications skills

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the material tracking system
• Comply with safety procedures and address non-compliance
• Participate in daily safety activities and weekly meetings
• Support Quality personnel and project through QM System
• Track quantities daily and reconcile for payments
• Review foremen's reports to ensure accurate data
• Document Time and Material operations daily
• Conduct two site walks daily with Foreman and Supervisors
• Participate in daily huddles to ensure timely, profitable construction
• Build strong client relationships and coordinate with inspectors
• Assist buyout, write requisitions, and communicate needs to team
• Produce complete purchase orders after PM approval
• Know subcontract details and hold contractors accountable
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings and update schedules
