Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a Field Engineer to join our heavy civil team. You will support the Project Engineer with shop drawings, submittals, scheduling, and field operations on challenging infrastructure projects.

Candidates should have 5–10 years in the field, proficiency in AutoCAD and HCSS/HeavyJob, strong Excel/Word reporting, and a proven ability to coordinate with subcontractors, manage schedules, and maintain safety.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5–10 years’ field experience in heavy civil projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and HCSS/HeavyJob.
• Excel and Word reporting skills required.
• Strong written and verbal business communications.
• Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate with subs/ICs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Project Engineer with shop drawings, submittals, scheduling of subcontractors and materials, meetings, as-built drawings, job cost, procurement and field operations.
• Operate and maintain the material tracking system.
• Complies with safety procedures and addresses non-conformance among employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Participates in daily Task Safety Awareness and weekly Safety Meetings.
• Supports Quality personnel and the project through the Quality Management System.
• Tracks quantities daily and reconciles them monthly for payment purposes.
• Reviews foremen's reports to ensure proper recording before income, cost, or inventory entries.
• Documents Time and Material operations daily and reconciles with the client.
• Conducts two site walks daily to learn from Foreman and Superintendents.
• Participates in daily huddles to ensure efficient and profitable construction.
• Establishes professional relationships with clients/inspectors.
• Assists buyout, negotiates best deal for cost/quality/delivery, and issues purchase orders.
• Knows subcontractor details and leads coordination meetings for updates.
