Job summary

ICON is seeking a Field Engineering Technician III to commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Titan 3D printing systems on active construction sites. This senior, hands-on role requires independent problem solving of electrical, mechanical, and software issues, leading field operations, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Field Technician or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and terminate cables (e.g., camlock power, EtherCAT).
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Advanced knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, cabling, and printer systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, and maintain ICON’s 3D printers and related systems with minimal supervision.
• Connect and disconnect electrical, pneumatic, and network cabling to facilitate printer mobility.
• Independently resolve issues in electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and monitoring to reduce downtime.
• Lead the coordination of complex tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Document troubleshooting steps, repairs, and handoffs in ICON’s ticketing system.
• Train and mentor Field Engineering Technician I employees.
• Willingness to travel for multiple weeks and work nights/weekends as needed.
