Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) to support regional and national projects across the power systems spectrum up to 500kV. The role requires extensive testing, calibration, and reporting, with travel up to 75% and base earnings up to $95/hour plus OT and bonuses.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based)
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements
