Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing for high voltage power systems. Travel up to 75% on regional and national projects, with a comprehensive benefits package and a pathway from Field Engineer to Technical Lead.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV certification (current & in good standing).
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Proficient with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies: short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance tests on transformers, switchgear, cables, breakers.
• Interpret results and author engineering reports with findings & recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical failures under time pressure.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field; serve as technical lead on projects.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA.
