Job summary

Modular Mission Critical is seeking an experienced electrical technician to join our manufacturing and field service teams. You will install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems across transmission and distribution environments.

Responsibilities include interpreting schematics, performing relay testing, and coordinating repairs with engineers and clients while adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of electrical experience with a high school diploma/GED, or 2+ years with an associate’s degree, or 1+ year with a bachelor’s degree.
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/IEEE/NETA/NFPA/NEC/OSHA electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams; interpret technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems.
• Use test equipment in energized rooms, vaults, and substations to service relays and wiring.
• Read and correct schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation drawings.
• Program and operate test equipment; observe all safety protocols per handbook.
• Commission new relay and metering installations; coordinate testing with teams.
• Maintain test records and coordinate repairs with engineers and clients.
