Job summary
Modular Mission Critical, near Richmond, VA, seeks technicians/engineers for inspection, testing, and startup of MV/LV electrical systems in datacenter environments. Travel locally, regionally, nationally; international travel preferred.
Strong safety discipline and ability to read schematics required. Role includes testing of cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and protection systems; experience with Doble, Omicron, Megger, Vanguard, and Fluke meters is advantageous.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 0+ years of electrical experience with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
- Experience with high and medium voltage testing and protective relays is a plus.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and startup of low and medium voltage equipment.
- Test transformers, switchgear, relays, breakers, and associated apparatus in field and shop.
- Maintain safe work environment and ensure compliance with NETA/IEEE/NEC/OSHA standards.
- Document test results and support project commissioning and startup.
