Job summary

Entergy Mississippi is seeking a Transmission Field Coordinator to lead planning and readiness for high‑voltage transmission line and substation work, ensuring safe, first‑time‑right execution and compliance with Life Critical Rules and MAD/BMAD requirements.

The role requires coordinating with Transmission Control Center, ROW, environmental teams, and contractors to prepare switching, isolation points, outages, and field packages, while coaching field crews and driving continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in substation, relay, or linework is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of transmission safety practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership & High‑Risk Transmission Work Planning - identify hazards, integrate Life Critical Rules, and ensure ready equipment and controls.
• Technical Standards, Engineering Alignment & QA/QC Oversight - validate work packages and resolve discrepancies with engineering and permitting teams.
• Transmission System Operations, Switching Coordination & Outage Planning - prepare switching packs, clearances, and outage sequencing with Control Center.
• Execution Readiness, Access Validation & Resource Staging - verify structure access, crane setups, and material logistics.
• Technical Coaching, Constructability Troubleshooting & Field Partnership - coach planners and crews, anticipate issues, and drive continuous improvement.
