Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to provide engineering support across planning, maintenance, design, project management, construction, and operations within the area substations. The role emphasizes protection, SCADA/RTU, communications, and reliability analysis.

The candidate will work onsite in Flora, MS, with opportunities to contribute to storm/restoration efforts and to interact with multiple disciplines within Entergy’s Transmission organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE certification preferred for advancement.
• Experience in power transmission engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed engineering analysis in substation-related areas such as planning, maintenance, design, project management and construction.
• Provides engineering and technical support for diagnostic and preventive maintenance in system protection, SCADA/RTU, and substation automation.
• Ensures compliance with industry standards (NERC/SERC/CIP) and company policies.
