Job summary

PromptCare is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist in Plainview, NY to lead and deliver home care respiratory services. The role emphasizes patient advocacy, education, and hands-on care across therapeutics, diagnostics, high-tech ventilation, and oxygen setups in a 24/7 care framework.

The position requires cross-state licensure willingness, strong documentation, and a focus on “white glove” service as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
• Must hold current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the employing state and be in good standing.
• Willing to cross-license in other states at company expense.
• Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• At least 1 year of experience as a working Respiratory Therapist.
• Home care experience is highly desirable.
• RRT certification required.
• Current CPR-BLS certification required.
• Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes electronically.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients and families with timely, accurate information and take corrective actions to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Plan daily routes and visits to maximize time efficiency and minimize travel.
• Schedule set ups and follow-up visits per company policy.
• Coordinate patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons.
• Triages field problems per company standards and training policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns and actions.
• Maintain knowledge of PromptCare SOPs and ensure compliance.
• Foster a “white glove” service mindset in the team.
• Submit travel expense reports monthly and on time.
• On-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
