Job summary

The PromptCare Companies, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a home-based, field leadership role in Plainview, NY. You will set up respiratory therapies, diagnostics, and high-tech ventilation for home patients, coordinating care 24/7 with the department Manager.

Requirements include RRT and state licensure in good standing, CPR-BLS, and at least one year of RT experience. Cross-licensing, a valid driver’s license, and PC skills are required. On-call and full-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state of employment and in good standing.
• Willing to cross-license in other states at company expense.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• At least 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• RRT certification is required.
• Current CPR-BLS certification required.
• Adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and documentation electronically.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients and families with timely, accurate information and take appropriate actions to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop good relationships with patients, families, and referral sources.
• Plan daily events for efficient time management and minimize travel time.
• Assist with scheduling set-ups and follow-up visits per policy and standards.
• Coordinate patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons.
• Triagem and address field problems per SOPs and training policies.
• Ensure timely documentation of patient concerns and corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of SOPs and ensure compliance with laws and SOPs.
• Foster a 'white glove' service culture for patients and families.
• Submit travel expense reports monthly and on time.
• Occasional on-call responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
