Job summary

PromptCare seeks a Respiratory Therapist to set up home care equipment, including ventilators, oxygen and diagnostics, in a field-based, leadership role. Coordination with the department manager on a 24/7 basis is required.

The role requires NY RRT, active state licensure, BLS/CPR, and at least 1 year of RT experience. Willingness to cross-license in other states and drive to patient sites is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
• New York state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• RRT certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification current.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Willingness to cross-license in other states at company expense.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients and families with timely information and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Develop good working relationships with patients, families and referral sources.
• Plan daily field events to optimize time and travel routes.
• Schedule set-ups and follow-up visits per policy and standards.
• Coordinate patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons.
• Triage field issues per SOPs and training policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient concerns and actions.
• Adhere to SOPs and legal/regulatory requirements.
• Uphold a 'white glove' service mindset for patients and families.
• Submit travel expense reports monthly and be available on-call.
