Job summary

PromptCare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to set up home care respiratory equipment, including vents, oxygen, and related devices, delivering hands-on care in patients' homes.

This leadership, field-based role requires strong patient advocacy, cross-state licensing readiness, on-call duties, and collaboration with the department manager to ensure high-quality, white-glove service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory school.
• Must hold current Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure in Kansas.
• Willing to cross-licence in other states at company expense.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist.
• Experience in home care setting is desirable.
• RRT certification required.
• Current CPR-BLS certification required.
• Adequate PC skills to document electronically in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding services to ensure satisfaction.
• Ability to initiate and develop good relationships with patients, family members and referral sources.
• Plans daily events to minimize travel time and increase efficiency.
• Assists with scheduling of set ups and follow up visits per policies and standards.
• Works with RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges.
• Triages problems in the field per company standards and training policies.
• Maintains proper documentation of patient concerns and corrective actions.
• Maintains knowledge of PromptCare SOPs and ensures compliance.
• Promotes a white-glove service culture.
• Submits expense reports for travel monthly and on time.
• On-call responsibilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
