Job summary

Aspire General is seeking a Senior Field Auto Appraiser for the Bay Area to assess vehicle damage, negotiate repairs, and guide customers through the claims process. This field-heavy role requires extensive experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage complex claims.

Responsibilities include field inspections, virtual appraisals, and settlements with repair facilities, tow yards, and storage vendors, with travel across the territory and occasional hybrid/virtual

Qualifications

• 10+ years auto damage appraisal experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
• Strong negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle damage in the field and via virtual appraisal methods.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, tow yards, and storage facilities.
• Evaluate and settle total loss claims, including ACV determinations.
• Review supplemental damage requests and perform re-inspections as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with customers throughout the claims process.
• Document claims thoroughly and prepare professional correspondence and reports.
• Assist leadership with complex claims and difficult negotiations.
• Mentor and support new team members during onboarding and training.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, Department of Insurance regulations, and industry standards.
