Job summary

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS) San Jose team seeks a Field Applications Engineer. You will engage with key customers to secure design wins, and translate customer needs into product positioning for MPS multiphase, high-current DC-DC solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong power management/analog experience and are willing to travel to customers and labs. Location: San Jose, CA; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years power management and analog systems experience.
• Hands on experience with point-of-load DC-DC power conversion.
• Experience with multiphase, Intel and/or AMD VR requirements and specifications preferred.
• Oral/written proficiency in English.
• Willing to drive to local customers and spend time in lab as needed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to MPS US Revenue growth through direct and in-direct technical activities.
• Develop a solid technical understanding of our products and relevant solutions.
• Provide deep technical support to customers to meet or improve upon customer’s requirements with MPS products, specifically multiphase, high current DC/DC.
• Provide thorough customer design support including schematic and PCB layout review
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow MPS business.
• Gather potential market moves and competitors’ activities for MPS product strategy.
