Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Operator IV to assemble, test, and terminate fiber optic cables and connectors. You will set up test stations, assist with process development, and contribute to cost reductions and manufacturing efficiency.

The role requires strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment with safety and quality in mind. Overtime and shift flexibility may be needed in Arden, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum two years manufacturing experience including at least one year fiber optic assembly experience.
• Proficient reading of prints and blueprints.
• Ability to move up to 50 pounds and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Operate fiber router and coating equipment as needed.
• Complete over-molding processes as needed.
• Support prototype product builds and pre-release NPI builds.
• Measure components with calipers, gauges or other devices.
• Maintain traceability paperwork for products.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Ensure cleaning methods and contamination prevention for optical assembly.
