TE Connectivity is seeking an Assembly Operator V to perform fiber optic cable assembly, testing, and process support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes clean room practices, detailed documentation, and ongoing training of team members.

The candidate will work with optical connectors, cables, and test equipment, contributing to new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Color-coded fiber optic cables identification for accurate assembly.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing, 2+ years in fiber optic assembly.
• Dexterity and fine motor skills for intricate work.
• Blueprint reading and hand tools knowledge.
• Able to work in a clean room with a microscope.
• Overtime availability to support production goals.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process as needed.
• Support prototype and pre-release NPI builds as needed.
• Measure components with calipers and gauges.
• Perform quality checks and maintain traceability paperwork.
• Train team members on products, processes, and procedures.
• Identify process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency.
