Job summary

TE Connectivity in North Carolina is seeking an Assembly Operator V to join a fiber optic manufacturing team. The role focuses on optical connector and cable assembly, termination of fiber configurations, and advanced testing, with opportunities to assist in process development and new product launches.

The position is 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3pm-11:30pm) with a 10% shift differential and relocation support of $2,200.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in fiber optic assembly.
• Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
• Able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process (as needed).
• Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds (as needed).
• Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices.
• Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain traceability of product.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Understand and demonstrate cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.
