Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to lead end-to-end fiber construction programs within the GCID Fiber Deployment team.

You will coordinate with Networking, Data Center Engineering, and Security to align requirements, drive vendors, and ensure on-time delivery. This role requires 5+ years in program management, experience with fiber infrastructure, and the ability to travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience.
• 5+ years of data center or network capacity planning, data center or network infrastructure program/project management, or related technical experience.
• PMP certificate, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of fiber construction programs across multiple regions and campuses, from approved plan through in-service handover.
• Manage construction and carrier vendors to schedule and quality: track milestones, measure performance against KPIs, and drive corrective action when standards are not met.
• Run quality control across the build: oversee conduit and vault inspection, validate designs in the field (pre and post construction), enforce fiber and OSP standards, and review splice, fiber acceptance test results (OTDR, PMD/CD), and as-built accuracy before handoff to internal customers.
• Deliver regular status reporting to senior leadership through standardized mechanisms, and manage risk, escalations, and competing priorities across many concurrent builds.
• Interface with key internal stakeholders such as Networking, Data Center Engineering, Technical Business Developers, Data Center Management, Security, and Backbone to capture requirements and drive vendors to meet them.
• Anticipate bottlenecks across the portfolio, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs against technical constraints.
• Coordinate site access and approvals in security-regulated environments, and travel to field sites up to 40% of the time for project-based inspections.
• Drive process improvements through data analysis and stakeholder feedback
